Unnatural Selection

A curious anthropological study of The South Island in panorama vision.

Unnatural Selection, Mel’s first solo exhibition, was held at the L’Estrange Gallery in Sumner, Christchurch. Displayed were her trade mark large scale panoramic photographic images, with the addition of quirky and unusual characters seamlessly blended into each scene, that add another dimension to the image and a large helping of humour.

The images were taken at various locations around the South Island of New Zealand, and the people carefully selected from old magazines and advertisements.
